What Holds, What Breaks, SVA Art Practice 2nd Year Summer Show, 2025
My second year show at SVA started with an idea to take up space. Working off photographs taken at Dance Church, I wanted to capture the emotion of dancing with strangers with all your energy. When you feel the beat with your whole body, singing along to your favorite song, closing your eyes, and just letting go.
Dizzying swirled 3D photo sculpture, based on sound wave patterns, covers a 35-foot-wide wall. Abstract images bursting with colors hang from the windows, in front of the wall piece, printed on silk Habotai, each 43” x 64.5”
